Five patients with prurigo pigmentosa were treated with 100-200 mg minocycline daily. The eruption and pruritus rapidly resolved within a few days or up to a week. There has been no recurrence after stopping medication and we conclude that minocycline is effective for prurigo pigmentosa and safer than dapsone. Accepted for publication 04 January 1989 |
