Pollen analysis and radiocarbon dating of profiles from three sites in the Somerset Levels has allowed the construction of both pollen percentage and influx diagrams. The results are used to discuss the timing of vegetational change within the area of study and to quantify further the effect of man on such changes as are recorded. (Accepted 12 February 1979) |
